The two boys who were arrested have been denied police bail and are in custody before appearing in Brisbane Children’s Court.
After Mr. Leulusoo was stabbed, he staggered 200 yards to King George Square before collapsing, police say.
A bystander called an ambulance, but he later died in hospital.
Detective Superintendent Tony Fleming says there is an ongoing investigation and he has called for more information.
“I would definitely call on people, if there are any tensions simmering there, to cool it down,” he said.
Mr. Leulusoo was seen talking to the boys about 30 minutes before the stabbing.
They are also alleged to be members of two rival gangs based in Brisbane.

Chief Inspector Tony Fleming has warned that any kind of revenge-style gang behavior is not the answer.
“Retaliation will not benefit anyone; everyone loses out of that, ”he said.
‘The allegation is that one person killed another person. If anyone is found guilty of doing so, it is an offense of life imprisonment. ‘
