Nature officers killed two mountain lions after a boy was bitten on the head, resulting in serious injury.
The boy, 8, played in the back yard of his home in Bailey, two about 10 miles southwest of Denver, when the attack took place on Wednesday night around 7:30 PM.
He had jumped on a trampoline with his brother. He got out of the device to run to a neighbor when the mountain lion bounced.

The attack took place on Wednesday around 7.30 p.m. in Bailey, Colorado
Jason Clay from Colorado Parks and Wildlife said the father saved his son's life when he ran into the garden after seeing the animal on top of his son.
The boy was treated by fire service personnel before being taken to the hospital, CBS Denver reported.
It is now in a serious but stable state.
On Thursday afternoon, a woman living in the area reported that one of her goats was missing and had seen two mountain lions.
Mountain officers put down traps and have since killed two of the animals.
An autopsy is now being performed to determine if one of the animals has attacked the boy.
Mountain lion attacks are usually rare, although neighbor Bob Keller said he had experienced a handful of sightings.
