Foreman Keith, the real Keith Schleiger, has revealed that he will make “irregular appearances” in the new season for family reasons, Herald of the sun reports.

“With The Block filming on Phillip Island this year, Keith has had to step away from his full-time duties due to his commitment to raising his two daughters,” a Nine spokesperson told the publication.

“He couldn’t come to the island for three months straight. “It was literally a bridge too far,” the spokesperson continued.

“But Block fans will be delighted to know that he has participated in the filming of our 20th season as a special guest.”

It comes after reports that the show lost two Blockheads earlier in the season.

While the new series of the Channel Nine show is yet to air, photos from a promotional shoot have all but confirmed that Blue Team, Jesse and Paige are gone.

A source has said Yahoo Lifestyle that the producers were surprised by the departure.

“The production team had noticed that there had been more tears with Jesse and Paige… but the ‘wellness team’ felt that their behavior was pretty standard in all the seasons up to that point,” they revealed.

“None of the other teams had noticed anything too unusual and they were all stunned when the Western Australian team fled Phillip Island,” the source added.

However, the source also revealed that the new members of the Blue Team, Maddie and Charlotte, were not impressed with the progress made in their assigned house.

This led to more drama, forcing them to decide whether to stick with the old team’s seaside escape theme or start over.

“Maddie and Charlotte hope they will be allowed to redo the rooms which now look out of place, but a decision on how that might happen is yet to be confirmed,” the source said.

“No one has been able to confirm what the hell is going to happen with these two issues colliding and, in all honesty, something will need to be done if this house has any hope of winning.”

Earlier this month, the Channel Nine reality show was rocked by rumors that a crew had already walked off the job two weeks after filming began.

And behind-the-scenes footage from a cast photo shoot at Phillip Island on April 8 certainly suggests this is true, as the blue team, made up of an athletic man and a glamorous blonde woman, is nowhere to be seen.

The lively images show that the new Pink team consists of two stunning young women in their 20s: a blonde and a brunette.

The beloved renewal series will triumphantly return to television screens later this year, marking two decades since its initial premiere.

Nine has confirmed that just five teams will compete to convert five properties into the former Island Cove Villas on Phillip Island.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that a company owned by Channel Nine has purchased Island Cove Villas for a whopping $9.5 million.
