He has spent the last three weeks living side by side with his Big Brother housemates. But now that Fern Britton is back in the real world, he’s more than happy with his own venture.
The presenter has been single since separating from her husband Phil Vickery in 2020 and says she has no intention of remarrying, but does not rule out finding love again.
She told The Mail on Sunday: “I don’t want to live with anyone and I don’t want to remarry.”
“I am a very independent person and the older I get, the more I realize that I like freedom.”
When asked if she was open to a new romance, Britton said she wasn’t actively looking, but added, “If someone amazing came along who could put up with me, I’d say yes.” She would really be the icing on the cake.
But I don’t want to have to cook, clean and take care of anyone. I could use separate houses.

The former This Morning presenter, 66, spoke out after leaving Celebrity Big Brother on Friday night. She reached the final of the ITV show, where she came second behind reality TV personality David Potts. Britton told the MoS she had not dated since she split from Vickery, This Morning’s resident chef, four years ago.
In a statement at the time, she said of their marriage: ‘After more than 20 happy years together, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children.’
Britton, who has a 22-year-old daughter with Vickery, added: “We just needed to go our own ways.

Britton was previously married to television executive Clive Jones, but they divorced in 2000, the year she married Vickery.
They have three children: twins Harry and Jack, 29, and daughter Grace, 26.
During Celebrity Big Brother, Ms Britton showed off her fifth weight loss. She attributes it to running near her home in Cornwall.
