He has spent the last three weeks living side by side with his Big Brother housemates. But now that Fern Britton is back in the real world, he’s more than happy with his own venture.

The presenter has been single since separating from her husband Phil Vickery in 2020 and says she has no intention of remarrying, but does not rule out finding love again.

She told The Mail on Sunday: “I don’t want to live with anyone and I don’t want to remarry.”

“I am a very independent person and the older I get, the more I realize that I like freedom.”

When asked if she was open to a new romance, Britton said she wasn’t actively looking, but added, “If someone amazing came along who could put up with me, I’d say yes.” She would really be the icing on the cake.

But I don’t want to have to cook, clean and take care of anyone. I could use separate houses.
