T’Vondre Sweat avoided serious injury this weekend when his Ford Bronco flipped on its side and rolled in the car accident that led to his arrest for drunk driving over the weekend.
Sweat, 22, a top NFL Draft prospect, collided with a blue Dodge sports car in Texas, according to a new report from TMZ, causing his car to lose control and roll over.
Besides, TMZ says a police report claims Sweat’s vehicle had a “smell of burnt marijuana” and appeared to have “glassy eyes.”
Sweat, the former Texas Longhorn defensive lineman, has been suggested as a possible second-round pick in the upcoming draft.
Sweat, the 2023 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and Outland Trophy winner, posted $3,000 bail, allowing his pre-draft process to continue.

Ahead of the draft later this month, Sweat flew to Tennessee on Monday to visit the Titans and will travel to Seattle later this week, according to Tom Pelissero. Sweat will take advantage of the visits to explain his situation to the franchises.
He was seen leaving jail Sunday afternoon with his attorney, according to local NBC affiliate KXAN News.
Sweat kept his face covered with a towel and neither he nor his attorney answered a question about the future of his NFL career.
It is currently unclear when Sweat is due back in court.
Last season, he recorded two sacks, eight tackles for loss, seven quarterback hurries, four pass deflections and 45 total tackles, earning him the Outland Trophy as the nation’s top interior lineman.
ESPN rates Sweat as the No. 3 defensive tackle prospect for the draft, which will be held in Detroit, Michigan, April 25-27.
Sweat, the younger brother of Philadelphia Eagles pass rusher Josh Sweat, is unlikely to face any discipline from the league since the arrest took place before he joined the NFL.
However, the incident could be a blow to his draft team and NFL teams will likely be discouraged by his arrest.
