Tucker Carlson sues Mark Milley for calling Trump ‘threat to national security’ after January 6 riots
Tucker Carlson has labeled Mark Milley a “treacherous” after a new book alleged that the Joints chief of staff told officials that Trump was a “serious threat to national security” and “may need to be dealt with by physical force.”
According to the book Peril, Milley told officials at the National Military Command Center that they “reported to him, not the President-elect of the United States,” and that they “would not obey any order without consulting him first.”
He also held secret talks with China behind Trump’s back in an effort to prevent war, and sought to limit Trump’s ability to launch nuclear weapons, the book by journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa claims.
‘How do you describe this? ‘Deep state’ is not strong enough,” Carlson said on his show on Tuesday. “It’s treason. It’s a crime.’
On Sept. 14, the Tucker Carlson Tonight hosted detailed meetings in which Milley reportedly told senior military officials that Trump was a “serious threat to national security” and may need to be dealt with “physical violence.”
At a later meeting in January, Carlson claimed, Joint Chief of Staff Mark Milley (pictured) told National Military Command Center officials that they were “reporting to him, not the President-elect of the United States.” and told them ‘not to obey orders without consulting him first’
“For those who say they’re concerned about the advent of authoritarianism in America, it’s here,” Carlson said. ‘That’s what this is. Authoritarian government. Government by unelected, inexplicable leaders who are willing to use force to maintain their rule.”
Carlson told his viewers that Milley told officials at the first meeting that Trump’s behavior jeopardized the “stability of the Republic.”
Milley reportedly had similar conversations with CIA Director Gina Haspel, NSA Chief Paul Nakasone, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Haspel would have warned Milley that America was ‘on’ [its] way to a right-wing coup.’
“Donald Trump had dared to question the election results,” Carlson said sharply. “To do this, Milley explained, the United States military might have to use physical force against the president.”
Reportedly, Milley had told the assembly that “[they] were the guys with the guns.’
Milley reportedly called Chinese General Li Zuocheng, with whom he had worked for five years, without informing the president, to assure him that the US government was “stable.”
“General Li, I want to assure you… Everything will be fine,” he told the general, Carlson said.

“We’re not going to attack you or perform kinetic operations… if we’re going to attack, I’ll call you in advance. It won’t be a surprise.’
Carlson said the call was “treason” and “a crime.”
“According to this report, our country’s top defense official has secretly conspired with our chief military rival to undermine the elected president of the United States. How do you describe this? ‘Deep state’ is not strong enough.’
He railed against other officials who “knew it happened” and said that “our intelligence agencies almost certainly heard Mark Milley’s call.”
“If they can read emails from a… show on Fox, what are the chances that they knew that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was talking to a senior Chinese general and what they were saying? Around 100 percent. Yet the NSA did nothing.’
Carlson called on other media outlets to paint the alleged behavior in a more venerable light… NBC said he’s ‘avoiding'[ed] Trump of abuse of nuclear weapons, war with China.’
He played bits of the TV news that aired today: On one of the broadcasts, MSNBC’s Rick Stengel said that Milley was a “hero” who “behaved in a heroic way.”

‘But what [Milley] made sure the guardrails were in place, so I’m giving him high marks for this based on what’s described in the book,” Lieutenant General Mark Hertling told CNN.
“We were in a period of extraordinary danger,” former General Barry McCaffrey told MSNBC. “I think history will treat Milley favorably.”
‘They cheered’ [Democracy] end,” Carlson said. “They are pleased to see Mark Milley secretly conspiring with the Chinese military to end civilian control of our Pentagon. This is the government they want. You mustn’t forget that.’
During his segment, Carlson suggested that officials should instead have engaged in the “coup” of “unelected government employees” “invalidating the votes of millions of American citizens.”
