Donald Trump has confirmed that he will testify in Stormy Daniels’ hush money trial.
‘I’m testifying. I say the truth. “All I can do is tell the truth,” the former president told reporters at Mar-a-Lago on Friday night.
“And the truth is that there is no case.”
He remained defiant, calling the Manhattan trial “election interference” with just four days left before jury selection was to begin.
The eyes of the world will be on New York City as he becomes the first former president to stand trial in criminal proceedings.
He faces 34 counts of falsifying business records to cover up a $130,000 payment to porn star Daniels for their alleged affair before the 2016 election.
Trump, 77, made the comments just as the judge refused to delay the trial because of the enormous amount of publicity surrounding the case.
