President Trump yesterday hit the governor of New York Twitter – a day when he recuperated from a trip abroad – for probes that he believes are a politically motivated hit job.
Trump said the Democrat is on his way to get hold of him and entrust the state attorney general with investigating his family foundation and his real estate business.
& # 39; It is very difficult and expensive to live in New York. Governor Andrew Cuomo uses his attorney general as a crazy tool for his own purposes. They prosecute everything, always looking for a crime. I was even charged with a foundation that took Zero rent & expenses and gave it away, & # 39; the Republican President claimed in a tweet.

Trump said New York government leader Andrew Cuomo is out to get him and to charge the state attorney general with investigating his family foundation and real estate company.
The president is a New York resident and a billionaire. His charity, the Trump Foundation, is being investigated in New York. His companies are also under the microscope of Attorney General Leticia James.
New York State filed a complaint against the Trump Foundation last June. Trump said he would close the charity in December.
It was not clear what Trump's fury was on the subject. He sent four tweets about Cuomo and the court case within the afternoon.
& # 39; It will continue for years, initially set up by Crooked Hillary & # 39; s Campaign Chair, A.G. Eric Schneiderman, until he was forced to resign because of abuse against women. They never even looked at the disgusting Clinton Foundation, & he said.
He added: & # 39; Now Cuomo grabs & # 39; s A.G. all my New York companies looking hard for what they can find to make me look as bad as possible. So, on top of ridiculously high taxes, my children and businesses spend a fortune on lawyers. No wonder people and companies are fleeing New York in record numbers! & # 39;
He claimed that he was treated unfairly by the Attorney General's office that investigated the basis for potential violations, including allegations that it was improperly coordinated with the President's campaign.
The organization's activities also raised questions about its tax status as a charity.
When the organization closed, the Attorney General's office claimed it had evidence of & # 39; a shocking pattern of illegality & # 39; that it intended to prove in the courtroom.
That behavior includes & # 39; illegal coordination with Trump's presidential campaign, repeated and deliberate self-handling, and more, & read a December statement.
& # 39; This meant that the Trump Foundation functioned as no more than a checkbook for Mr.'s business and political interests. Trump to serve & # 39; said the statement.
An incident that is described is the 2015 money collection that Trump held for veterans. He skipped an Iowa debate about the president with one of his moderators and invited his competitors to attend his alternative event.
Trump then claimed that he donated $ 1 million to veteran organizations, but a writer from the Washington Post disputed the candidate's claims. The charity eventually gave millions to veterinary groups and the campaign of Florida Attorney General, Pam Bondi, who was investigating another Trump entity.
Trump had tried to close the foundation since 2016, before being successful at the end of 2018, but the previous New York attorney general, Eric Schneiderman, refused the request. The foundation was dissolving and the possessions were paid for with the supervision of Schneiderman's replacement and a judge. The case is currently being monitored by James, who inherited the case after she won last year's election victory.
The lawsuit has continued and the AG's office continues to ask for permission to charge the restitution and penalties of the foundation. The AG's office also tries to prevent Trump and his children from being on the boards of future charities.
Trump said in tweets on Monday that it is his former political opponent whose charity needs to be investigated. He said that Hillary Clinton & # 39; s joint venture with her husband and her daughter would be sent through the ringer if the AG office would play fair with the Democrats.
& # 39; That's right, the Trump Foundation gave 100% plus 100% plus, with no rent or expense, and has been sued by Cuomo and the state of New York for years – another part of the political witch hunt, & # 39; he accused.
& # 39; In case someone is interested – Clinton Foundation has never even looked at it! & # 39;
