Donald Trump is demanding that President Joe Biden take a drug test before the two face off in next month’s debate and again in September.
Speaking at the Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Reagan Dinner on Friday night in St. Paul, Minnesota, Trump suggested that Biden had been high when he delivered the State of the Union address in March.
Trump told his supporters that he will insist that the president submit to a drug test as a precondition for the debates.

President Joe Biden gave a fiery State of the Union address in March, but Trump believes he used drugs.
“I just want to debate this guy, but you know, and by the way, I’m also going to demand a drug test,” Trump said to applause.
‘Am. No, I really am. I don’t want it to come as the State of the Union. He was high as a kite.
Trump said during the State of the Union that the president’s behavior took him by surprise.
“I said, ‘Is that Joe up there?’
Trump said Biden “was exhausted” at the end of the hour-and-seven-minute speech.
“We’re going to demand a drug test,” Trump said again. “He’s going to be very excited about it, he looks.”

At the time, Fox News’ Sean Hannity stated that Biden nicknamed “Jacked-Up Joe,” saying he “sounded like an angry, over-caffeinated old man.”
The upcoming debates will be different from those held during previous campaigns in that they will not take place before a studio audience. Additionally, the candidate who should not be speaking at that moment will have his microphone cut off.
During Friday’s campaign stop, Trump promised to reverse Biden’s environmental policies when it comes to automakers before criticizing the performance of the economy. He also promised to solve the current border crisis.
Trump also took aim at Biden’s habit of telling false stories when it comes to his life experiences.
“He’s so full of shit,” Trump said, laughing.
“He’s a horrible president who is destroying our country,” he continued before adding, “He’s also a horrible human being.”
Trump then went on to call the president a “non-athlete” and attacked his golf game, accusing him of inflating his golf skills.
Trump repeated a false claim that he won Minnesota in the 2020 election, wrongly stating that he won “his state in a landslide.”
There is no evidence that there were any serious irregularities in the state.

He campaigned in Minnesota after attending his son Barron’s high school graduation in Florida. Minnesota is traditionally a Democratic state, but Trump believes he can win it in November.
No Republican presidential candidate has won Minnesota since Richard Nixon in 1972, but Trump came close to flipping the state in 2016, when he fell 1.5 percentage points behind Democrat Hillary Clinton.
He is expected to address thousands of National Rifle Association members in Texas today.
Trump will deliver the keynote address as the powerful gun lobby holds a forum in Dallas. Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott will also speak at the convention.
Trump has pledged to continue defending the Second Amendment and has called himself “the best friend gun owners have ever had in the White House” as the country faces record numbers of deaths from mass shootings.
Last year ended with 42 mass murders and 217 deaths, making it one of the deadliest years on record.

Speaking during Friday’s campaign event, Trump said: “You know, it’s an amazing thing.” People who own guns, people who legitimately own guns, love guns and use them for the right purpose, but they tend to vote very little and still have to vote for us.
“There’s no one else to vote for because Democrats want to take away your guns and they will take away your guns.” He added: “That’s why I’m going to talk to the NRA tomorrow to tell them, ‘You’ve got to get out and vote.'”
While Trump sees strong support in Texas, Democrats believe they have a shot at pulling off an upset in November with former NFL player U.S. Rep. Colin Allred leading an underdog campaign to unseat Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.
No Democrat has won statewide office in Texas in 30 years, the longest streak of its kind in the US.
