Travis Scott has announced a summer 2024 tour of the UK and Europe with twelve arena and stadium shows, one of which will be at the Co-op Arena in Manchester.
The new venue has been hit by a wave of canceled shows, including Peter Kay’s, amid a chaotic opening when general manager Gary Roden quit just 12 months after criticizing smaller venues.
The American rapper, 33, announced on Tuesday that he will be taking his Utopia: Circus Maximus tour across the pond after a successful sold-out tour in North America last year.
The tour, named after his fourth studio album, Utopia, which was the best-selling hip-hop album released in 2023, has been described as “an unparalleled audio-visual experience.”
Of the twelve dates announced, two of them will be in the United Kingdom. The musical artist will head to London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 11 and Manchester’s Co-op Live Stadium on July 13.
The show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be the music star’s biggest show in the UK to date.

It will begin with an opening night in Arnhem on June 28, followed by Krakow (July 2), Zurich (July 4), Nice (July 6) and finally Antwerp (July 9) before debuting in the UK .
After the London and Manchester dates, the rapper will head to Hamburg, Prague, Cologne and Milan, before the tour ends in Frankfurt on July 27.
Fans will need to be quick as tickets go on sale at 10am BST on Friday 10 May, with some pre-sales also going ahead before Thursday 9 May.
Only Tottenham Hotspur season ticket holders and One Hotsupur members will have access at 10am the day before the general sale.
The same applies to co-op members hoping to attend the Manchester show.
However, concert-goers may be put off buying a ticket for that date due to the fiasco surrounding the new £365 million stadium.
The Co-op Live Arena has been billed as the largest indoor arena for music, comedy and sports ever built outside the United States.
It is the largest and most expensive concert hall in Britain and the jewel in the crown for a US-based company that owns 300 venues around the world.

Manchester’s iconic £365 million Co-op Live Arena has been plagued by disasters and has had its opening postponed several times.
Following the announcement of Travis Scott’s tour date, angry music fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their concerns at the Manchester Co-op Live Arena.
Venue tycoon Tim Leiweke, co-founder of its owner Oak View Group, also claimed it is also “acoustically the most perfect ever built in the UK” ahead of some of the biggest music and comedy gigs in 2024.
He also said it would be a springboard to building a new stadium in London to eventually rival Greenwich’s 02.
However, it fueled fury among Olivia Rodrigo fans after her two dates last weekend were postponed, while the American rapper’s A Boogie Wit da Hoodie show was canceled as punters queued outside.
Take That also decided to move their upcoming shows from the troubled Co-op Live following the series of canceled concerts.
Close rival AO Arena will now host Take That’s five next dates after the band made the “difficult decision” to “give our fans as much notice as possible”.
Following Travis Scott’s tour date announcement, angry music fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their concerns about the venue’s announcement of new dates.
One user joked: “You’re a joke.” We haven’t received any updates on postponed events and you are announcing new ones?
‘Will it be cancelled’ and ‘What’s wrong with Olivia?’ She added a second and a third.
Meanwhile, someone else asked: “Why would anyone risk buying tickets to a concert at this venue in July, when it’s unclear if the May or June events will even happen?”
Others chimed in: ‘They are brave to announce a concert so soon!’ and “Well, that’s not happening.”
