It has been revealed that Travis Kelce will not propose to Taylor Swift until the couple has reached a prenuptial agreement.
Swift is a billionaire, thanks in large part to her successful Eras Tour, while Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl winner, has an estimated net worth of around $70 million.
The couple began dating last year and went public with their relationship when Swift appeared at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City to watch Kelce play for the Chiefs. She sat next to her mother, Donna, for the game last September.
Now, according to a source cited by Life and styleThe couple is ready for the next step, but Kelce won’t pop the question until financial terms are set if they ever split.
“This is much further along than Taylor and Travis are willing to admit, as they have been considered unofficially engaged for a while now and are both 100 percent committed to spending the rest of their lives together and starting a family,” the source said.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift plan to reach a prenuptial agreement before any possible engagement
Swift is a billionaire while Kelce has an estimated net worth of $70 million.
‘The formalities are just their agendas that have gotten in the way, as well as the logistics of a prenuptial agreement, which is obviously complicated by the large amounts of money involved on both sides.
“There’s no way Taylor is going to walk down the aisle without a prenup. They both want to get it sorted before Travis gets down on one knee.”
Swift cheered on Kelce at 13 NFL games last season, including last year’s Super Bowl, while he traveled to several of his tour dates around the world once he was in his NFL offseason.
Kelce, 34, signed a new two-year contract with the Chiefs before their preseason camp began this year worth about $17 million per season.
She is also reported to be in talks over a new deal for her podcast New Heights, which she hosts alongside her older brother Jason, worth around $100 million.
Swift is currently in London, where she will wrap up her four-month European tour with a series of shows at Wembley Stadium.
He is expected to return to Arrowhead when Kelce and the Chiefs begin the NFL season on Sept. 5 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Kelce is currently in camp preparing for the upcoming NFL season with the Chiefs.
Kelce and the Chiefs have a chance to create NFL history this season by becoming the first team to win the Super Bowl three times in a row.
While Swift has dates in the U.S. and Canada before the end of the year (and some that overlap with Chiefs games), she reportedly plans to attend as many games as possible.
So much so that Kelce has arranged for Swift to spend more time at his $6 million Kansas City mansion renovating her kitchen because she loves to cook.
Earlier this week, Patrick Mahomes claimed that Swift was the reason Kelce had recently grown his hair out.
As part of a broader response about his team in an interview with NFL Radio, Mahomes said: “You’ve got the old man (Kelce). I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out and all of a sudden Taylor does it.”
