Travis Kelce’s first round at the 2024 American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament turned out to be as dangerous as professional football.

The Kansas City Chiefs star fired several shots into the Lake Tahoe crowd, one of which left a woman in her 20s bloodied and in need of medical attention, according to PeopleFootage of the incident has not appeared online.

Taylor Swift’s boyfriend was on the 16th hole at the Edgewood Tahoe golf course when his drive hit the woman in the back of the head. A witness told People that blood stains could be seen in her blonde hair.

Kelce walked over to the crowd to check on her and then joked that taking a photo with the woman was the least he could do. His brother and tournament rival, Jason, also went to check on the woman, who reportedly said she wasn’t sure which of the two Kelce brothers had hit the off-target shot.

Paramedics rushed to the scene to treat the woman, who remains unidentified. She was eventually able to stand up on her own after several minutes sitting on the ground. Staff carried her off the field and play quickly resumed.

Spokespeople for the course and the tournament did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for more information.

Kelce finished his first round tied with legendary pitcher Roger Clemens and SNL alum Colin Jost for 62nd place, representing a significant departure from 2023, when he won the tournament.

Interestingly, Travis offered Jason some prophetic advice about the event during a recent podcast episode.

“This is my first time in Lake Tahoe, do you have any tips?” Jason asked Travis on an episode of New Heights.

“My advice would be to not feel bad if you hit someone because they bought the ticket,” Travis joked.

“There’s a bunch of amateurs trying to play golf, so don’t feel bad,” Travis continued. “People have been hit by cars before. There are paramedics, whatever their name is, that are there at every hole. Everybody’s going to be OK.”

Turns out Travis was right.

Not only did he hit the aforementioned woman, but Kelce’s tee shot also went into the crowd on the first hole, where it hit a man in the arm.

A video posted on X shows Kelce marching around the field with a marshal before locating the fan who was shot. Upon meeting the gentleman wearing a bright blue shirt, Kelce proceeded to shake his hand before leaning in to kiss his arm.

The apology was met with laughter and cheers from the crowd at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort.

The Kelces, however, drew a stampede of fans as they made their way down the field. In addition to the brothers, a long list of NFL talent is also competing in the star-studded tournament.

Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, Derek Carr, Baker Mayfield, Trevor Lawrence, Joe Flacco and Kyle Juszczyk were among the participants.

Additionally, NFL legends including Jerry Rice, Steve Young and Tony Romo played alongside several film and television stars.

Before Travis hit a member of the crowd with his tee shot, Jason won the long drive contest before the tournament. Travis won the event in 2023. However, Jason outdid everyone this year with a tee shot that traveled 322 yards.
