A mother-of-two who beat cancer was found dead in her bed by her 16-year-old daughter, her heartbroken family said.
Sarah Thompson, 34, was looking forward to going to a concert and bought a new outfit before her sudden death overnight.
She had previously overcome laryngeal cancer that left her mute for eight months, but friends described her as “full of life.”
However, her teenage Paige tragically found her last weekend and her devastated family was left planning her funeral.
The cause of death of Ms Thompson, who is from Connah’s Quay, North Wales, has not been revealed.
Sarah Thompson, 34, was found dead in her bed by her 16-year-old daughter, her family says.
The mother of two had already beaten cancer and was eager to get out.
His mother Gail said: ‘He was very popular and had a great group of friends. We’ve had people leave lots of flowers outside the house, which shows how many people he knew.
‘She loved going to concerts. There was a time I picked her up at a festival and she was there with four people she knew saying they needed a ride too, she was always trying to help people.
“She was due to attend one at the O2 Academy in Liverpool on Tuesday. She had bought a new outfit especially for that.
‘Sarah was a very bright, outgoing and happy woman. She was very generous and always lent money to people when they needed it.
Ms Thompson was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and was unable to speak after surgery.
Gail said: “She really struggled, but despite everything she went through, she remained the best mother to Paige and Zaine. She idolized them and absolutely lived for them.”
Ms. Thompson’s cause of death has not been revealed, but she has left the hearts of her family.
‘It’s just such a shock. We can’t understand it, it doesn’t feel real. There is a GoFundMe page that we hope will fund his funeral and we will leave the remaining money for his two children.’
Friend Rebecca Burdis, who organized the fundraiser, said: “Sarah sadly and unexpectedly passed away on the evening of Saturday 28th September, long before her time.
‘She leaves behind her children Paige (16) and Zaine (10).
“As we know, Sarah’s children were her world and this sudden tragedy has left a huge void in their lives.”
More than £3,000 has been raised ahead of his funeral next week, where mourners are encouraged to wear bright colours.
