The father of New South Wales Premier Chris Minns has died after a heart attack.
John Minns was rushed to St George’s Hospital in Sydney’s south over the weekend after suffering a “massive” heart attack.
He died on Wednesday afternoon, Premier Minns confirmed.
“This afternoon we lost our father, John Minns,” the prime minister said in a statement.
‘Until the end he was surrounded by love and family, with his wife and children by his side.
‘We thank the NSW paramedics and all the nurses and doctors at St George’s Hospital who provided great care to our father this week.
“We have also been very touched by all the messages of support in recent days.”
