Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return as Detective Lieutenants Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett for the fourth installment of their buddy cop comedy franchise Bad Boys.
They made their debut, with their characters then only detective sergeants in the film Bad Boys released in 1995.
The pair reprized their roles in Bad Boys II and Bad Boys For Life, released in 2003 and 2020, respectively.
Development on the fourth film in the action comedy franchise was announced to be underway right after the release of the third film.
Will confirmed that both he and Lawrence would return for the new film in February 2023, when it was also revealed that Belgian duo Adil & Bilall, who directed the third film, would return.

Production on Bad Boys: Ride Or Die began in April of last year, with much of filming taking place in Atlanta and Miami.
Although filming briefly paused due to the start of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, the cast and crew reconvened earlier this year and wrapped in March.
Bad Boys: Ride Or Die is scheduled for release in the UK on June 7.
It comes after reports that filming of TOWIE’s farewell party was thrown into chaos in April when a massive fight broke out between two of the show’s main cast members.
Insiders claim Ella Rae Wise and Harry Derbidge, who is one of the last remaining original stars of the show that has been on screen for 14 years, were at odds in a huge argument in front of their stunned co-stars.
She has been at the forefront of the series’ story thanks to her romance with Dan Edgar, fresh off his split from Harry’s friend Amber Turner.
Sources claim that the root of the problem arose from Harry’s growing friendship with ‘Girl Band’, the self-christened name of Amber and her long-time friends Chloe Meadows, Courtney Green and Elma Pazar.
A source told The Sun: ‘Her and Harry’s relationship has become strained since he became friends with a girl band and she started dating Dan. The dispute was brewing for a while and after an argument arose, it ended badly.’
Ella’s romance with Dan began in Bali, after Amber accused the pair of flirting in the latter stages of her relationship with Dan, which ended last year.

The couple has protested accusations of acrimony, however, cheating accusations have plagued the duo and things remain tense.
Now, however, Ella’s romance has impacted their own friendship, as the source continued: “A lot of things were said in the heat of the moment, with Ella questioning Harry’s loyalty…
‘He even divided his friends who took sides in the confrontation. Now no one is sure if they will be able to recover and go back to the way they were before.’

News of the row comes after it was alleged Amber turned down the series wrap party after she stopped filming the final series early.
The star made the decision to walk away from the show after “struggling to cope with Dan and Ella’s romance.”
