Tom Sandoval is contesting his ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix’s request to sell their $2 million home in Los Angeles.
The reality TV personality, 40, responded to her lawsuit on Friday, alleging that she failed to state a “cause of action” and failed to act “reasonably and in good faith.”
The Vanderpump Rules star said her co-star and now ex ‘failed to mitigate the damages she ‘suffered’ before filing the lawsuit, according to court documents obtained by Page six.
This comes shortly after he claimed he had lent her $90,000, preventing him from selling until she paid him back.
Madix sued her ex in early January, asking a judge to force the sale of their shared property, according to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com.

In the event that the court sides with Madix and tells the former couple to sell the house, Sandoval asked her to pay him back for the repairs and renovations he made to their Valley Village home.
He requested to ‘receive accounting and compensatory adjustments’ for what he has put into the property to increase the value of the house.
Just days earlier, after his “inappropriate and ignorant” statement in his New York Times Magazine profile went viral, he filed another response to Madix’s lawsuit against him.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, he said no sale will occur until she repays him for the alleged loan.
He claimed he has a lien on the house tied to money she owes him.
Until she pays him back, he said, a judge cannot force them to sell their property.
The former couple bought the $2 million home together in 2019.
Early last year, the couple split when Madix discovered that Sandoval had been having a months-long affair with his former co-star Rachel Leviss.

Since then, Madix and Sandoval have continued to live together in the house, although in separate sides and rooms, as they have not resolved how to divide the property.
Months after their separation, she filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court for a ‘partition by sale,’ according to documents obtained by DailyMail.com.
Basically, she is suing him and wants a judge to order them to sell the house to split the profits.
She fights against a “division in kind,” which would allow each to retain their share of the property.
In theory, this could lead to one of them selling the house to the third party and letting the other continue to own and live in the house.
When Madix filed a lawsuit in early January, he reportedly issued blanket denials against his allegations.
