Tom Cruise will perform an epic stunt to close the 2024 Paris Olympics, it has been claimed.
For the upcoming Closing Ceremony, the 62-year-old actor is gearing up for a thrilling feat to conclude the games and pass the flag to Los Angeles by 2028.
At the end of this year’s Games, he will rappel from the top of the Stade de France and land on the stadium field with the official Olympic flag in hand, according to TMZ.
The Top Gun star, who has joined many other A-list stars in the stands to watch the games in Paris, will also be seen transitioning to the upcoming 2028 summer games in Los Angeles via a pre-recorded clip he filmed in March.
In the video, which will be shown after the live stream, he will travel on a plane and fly with the flag from France to California before skydiving to the Hollywood sign.

Cruise filmed the second half of the stunt in Los Angeles in March and expected the ruse to be revealed then.
Although he was seen climbing the sign, sources told TMZ that no one noticed his descent from the sky and they didn’t connect the dots that he was working on an Olympics-related project.
DailyMail.com reported at the time that he was working on an Olympic-themed commercial when he was photographed soaring up to the famous monument as flying drones circled around him and captured his ascent.
In March, Cruise was also seen passing a flag to an athlete.
After landing at the Hollywood sign, it has now been revealed that the short film will show Cruise handing the flag to other Olympians, including a cyclist, a skater and a volleyball player.
The outlet reported that details of Cruise’s performance in Paris are still being finalized, as the closing ceremony is scheduled for August 11.
For logistical and security reasons, his performance in Paris could end up being performed by a stunt double.
Sources close to the show also revealed to TMZ that Cruise was the catalyst behind the idea for the stunt.

The city also hosted the 1932 and 1984 Olympic Games.
Los Angeles is likely to kick off the Games of the XXXIV Olympiad at a venue built for the 1932 event: the Colosseum.
It will be part of what LA28 organizers are calling the Downtown Sports Park, a collection of venues that includes Crypto.com Arena, the Convention Center, LA Football Club Stadium, USC’s Galen Center and the Peacock Theater.
Cruise has also previously been involved in past Olympic ceremonies.
Two decades ago, the Mission: Impossible actor carried the torch through Los Angeles as part of a global relay for the 2004 games in Athens, Greece.
