Three Liverpool stars are shortlisted to six men for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Year award … with Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Jamie Vardy rivaled by the Anfield stars

- Leicester forward and Golden Boot winner Jamie Vardy is also in the running
The nominees for the PFA Premier League Fans’ Player of the Year have been announced and three Liverpool stars have been shortlisted by six.
Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all up for the award and will compete against Raheem Sterling of Manchester City and Kevin De Bruyne and Jamie Vardy of Leicester.
The Reds won their first league title in 30 years, finishing 18 points in second place in City, while Vardy won the division’s Golden Boot with 23 goals.

The Foxes forward also scored his 100th Premier League goal against Crystal Palace in July.
Mane enjoyed another productive season for Jurgen Klopp’s title winners, scoring 18 goals and providing seven assists.
But his fellow Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah misses the game despite scoring one more goal and three more assists than his team-mate.
Jordan Henderson, captain of The Reds, has been nominated for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year, but is not listed for the fan award.
Winner of last season’s Players’ Player of the Year award Virgil van Dijk has also made the list
Trent Alexander-Arnold joins his defensive teammate after 13 assists in the competition
Alexander-Arnold, who has also been nominated for the Player’s Award and Young Player of the Year, was part of a Liverpool defense that kept fifteen zero.
The right back also posted a record 13 assists, one more than he managed in the 2018-2019 campaign, and also scored four goals.
Van Dijk is shortlisted for the fan award after not being nominated for the top prize – which he won last season.
De Bruyne led the way for assists in the 2019-2020 season with 20 goals scored and the Belgian also managed to score 13 times for Pep Guardiola’s team.
His teammate Sterling enjoyed his most productive season in the Premier League with 20 goals.
Fans can vote for their Player of the Season on the PFA website with the winner to be announced on Monday.
