Some of the most popular baby names for 2024 in Australia have been revealed, with a decade-old favorite taking the number one spot.
Thousands of Australian parents have entered their children into Bond’s famous Baby Search competition and the company has revealed which names came up the most.
Oliver topped the list, with the nickname being the most popular Australian boy’s name according to data from the McCrindle research group for more than a decade.
It would appear that more boys than girls participated in the competition this year, with Noah in second place, Hudson in third, and Leo in fourth place.
Noah and Leo have also been frequent stars in McCrindle’s top ten boys’ names, coming in at number two and three in 2023 respectively, while Hudson came in at number eight.
Thousands of Australian parents entered their children into Bond’s Baby Search competition and the company revealed which names came up the most, with Oliver topping the list.
Androgynous nickname Charlie came in fifth place, while Luca took sixth place.
Isla came in sixth place and was surprisingly the only traditional girl’s name to appear in the top 10 of Bond’s Baby Search.
It was McCrindle’s number one girl’s name in 2021 and has been high on the list of popular names ever since.
Number eight was Archie, while ninth was Henry and Jack was in the top 10.
Leo not only ranked high in the name statistics, but was also the most common zodiac sign of all the bubbles entered, followed by Libra and Virgo.
Entries are now closed for Bond’s Baby Search and the winners will be revealed on Wednesday.
