Strictly Come Dancing star John Whaite was left reeling on Sunday night after his flight was cancelled.
The Great British Bake Off star, 35, was heading to Greece when a major power outage at Manchester airport left passengers stranded in huge queues for hours, only for all flights to be cancelled.
John took to his Instagram to express his frustration over his vacation being cancelled.
He posted a photo of himself rolling his eyes and wrote at the top: “I’m supposed to go to Greece today.” But Manchester Airport is apparently no show and @tuiuk emailed me to say don’t leave home.”
The TV star then joked: Has anyone set up a mock Greek beach cabin in their backyard where they can lounge for a week?

It comes after the British chef, author and TV presenter married his partner Paul Atkins earlier this year.
The couple who have been together for 16 years tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in New York.
Last year, John revealed he had fallen in love with his dance partner Johannes during his time on Strictly Come Dancing.
The baker teamed up with the professional dancer, 36, during the 2021 series and said he almost fell victim to the show’s famous curse.
They were the first same-sex male couple on the show and made it to the final two, before being defeated by Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice.
In a candid interview with The Times, John told how he “fell in love” with Johannes while he was engaged to his partner Paul.
He said the couple “spent some time apart” after he opened up about his feelings towards the South African dancer.
In excerpts from his memoir, Dancing on Eggshells, John detailed the depth of his feelings for Johannes.

John and his husband Paul seem stronger than ever after taking time apart when John “felt like he no longer knew what he wanted out of my existence.”
She described feeling a “sense of loss” after finishing Strictly, as she would no longer be able to see Johannes every day and expressed a desire to “be close to him”.
He said: ‘After that final dance, I hung up my clothes for the last time. I felt a sense of loss.
“Not because the competition was over and I was knackered and ready for a break, but because I wouldn’t be able to see Johannes every day.
“I looked at him as he sat on the dressing room window sill drinking a glass of champagne, still shining in his sparkling white dance costume.
‘I was jealous of the beads of sweat that glistened on her beautiful skin. I wanted to be close to him… We said goodbye with a hug, I didn’t want to let him go.’
Speaking about the infamous Strictly curse, John added: ‘Johannes knew it (the curse) could happen. He had seen it a thousand times with his dance partners over the years.
‘When you’re physically pressed against another man for ten hours a day, things move emotionally… I was being cautious. He strictly has a magical way of revealing the truth.
Discussing her relationship with her fiancé afterwards, she recalled: “For a while, Paul and I had to be apart for a while. I felt like I no longer knew what I wanted out of my existence.
‘Paul had moved back in with his parents and I thought: “What the hell are you doing?” He was making that childhood premonition of growing old alone come true.
“Fourteen years in a solid relationship with a man who loves me unconditionally, a man who would move the earth to make me feel safe and I was fucking around.”
However, John has said that the couple managed to put the problem behind them because they did not want to waste the history they had together.
John previously admitted that he “still loves” Johannes, but said he believes being in regular contact would be disrespectful to his partner.
