According to the report, Mehigan, Preston and Calombaris enjoyed a high profile in India during their heyday on MasterChef.
Billboards could be seen in some major cities saying goodbye to the famous foodies, after the three left the show in 2019.
Last year, there was talk that the original MasterChef judges were producing something new together.
A leaked Zoom between Mehigan, Preston and Calombaris had fans suggesting that the three would return to television for a new show.
Calombaris, who shared the post, captioned the story: ‘A serious food talk for a very special project. But most of it is a lot of gunfire and laughter.’
“The three of us still do a lot of things overseas, we have a lot of fans in India, but this is the first time we’re back together in Australia,” Calombaris told the Herald Sun.
The trio hosted the hit cooking show for a decade, from 2009 to 2019.
However, in July 2019 Channel 10 announced that the three judges would not return for season 12 of the series.
It has been widely reported that the hosts left the show because they couldn’t agree on money.
But Mehigan said at the time it had nothing to do with financial issues.
In a statement posted on Instagram, he wrote: “It was time to move on.” [and] have more free time to explore our own creativity. “It was never about money and it never will be about money.”
