A man in Oklahoma has been arrested for murder in connection with a brutal attack on his pregnant girlfriend, causing the woman to have a miscarriage and to leave her brain dead.

Tulsa police officers responded to Sawmill Apartments on 1294 East 35th Street on Monday evening after receiving a phone call from a woman who said her son, 22-year-old Colby Ray Wilson, committed suicide.

When officers entered the apartment, they found the caller who gave CPR to her pregnant, pregnant girlfriend, identified by the police as Allyssa Fielding.

The six-month Fielding was rushed to a hospital, where doctors discovered that her unborn baby no longer had a heartbeat. She was expected to bring the baby on July 17.

Police said in a press release that if Fielding dies from her injuries, Wilson will be accused of a second murder figure.

When she was interviewed by detectives after her son's arrest, Wilson's mother said her son called her in tears on Sunday and said her had been injured and would start living his own life, KTUL reported.

The mother called 911 and ran to his apartment, where she said she found Wilson unconscious in a chair and his girlfriend lay on the floor with visible injuries to her face.

Wilson's mother told investigators that the couple had a history of domestic violence and that her son was convicted in 2016 of attacking Fielding.
