An adorable puppy was abandoned at an Ohio animal shelter because he has “too much energy.”
The Jefferson County Animal Shelter describes one-year-old Cora as a “bundle of joy wrapped in a fluffy coat.”
But the terrier mix is struggling to find a forever home due to her rambunctious personality, which has already seen her adopted and returned twice.
“She is longing for a home where she can be all she knows how to be, herself,” the shelter explained. “Cora is a staff favorite because she is always ready for play, followed by cuddles.
Unfortunately, her energetic enthusiasm is what keeps her in the shelter. She can’t figure out what she’s doing wrong because she’s just being herself and isn’t that what they say, “just be yourself”?

“Well, Cora is very cheerful and lively, she is full of fun and always makes us laugh and smile with her silly antics.”
Cora arrived at the Winterville shelter in May and was an instant hit.
“Cora, who was returned to us through no fault of her own, is now looking for a home that can match her energetic personality,” the shelter explained.
“She’s really a sweetheart, but she just can’t seem to find the right home yet.”
Cora would be better off in a cat-free home with children at least 12 years old, the shelter said.
Can be picky with other dogs, so a meet and greet smell test is recommended for any prospective owner with other pets.
Cora has been spayed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. She is up to date on all basic vaccinations and monthly preventative measures.
Cora and other pets are being put up for adoption as part of a month-long shelter cleanup campaign.
