Sixteen passengers and crew miraculously managed to escape the Atina before it was completely engulfed in flames on Saturday evening while moored in the Gulf of Olbia.
Firefighters and coastguards rescued the tourists, who were of Turkish origin. No injuries were reported.
Those on board are believed to include Serkan Borancili, the owner of the 47-metre-long vessel.

It ended up on the seabed at a depth of about 7 metres and local media have said clean-up operations are currently underway.
The yacht was carrying about 50,000 litres of fuel, but the Olbia Port Authority said no spill had been detected.
The fire is believed to have started in the engine compartment of the superyacht, but the cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.
The Atina sold in 2021 for over £14 million and won an award at the World Superyacht Awards in 2009.
