The Channel Ten contract reveals that the star of MAFS was supposed to be The Bachelor

Date:

A leaked contract on Channel 10 revealed the Married at First Sight star was locked up to be The Bachelor but was fired with three weeks’ notice.

The MAFS star was supposed to be the leading man on The Bachelor this season, but was dropped just three weeks before filming was scheduled to begin.

Ryan Gallagher, who rose to fame in the 2018 season, has signed a syndication contract with Warner Bros. Australia last year, but the production company decided to go in another direction and opted to cast three nominees instead.

He was eventually picked up on another program on Channel Ten, where the ratings failed the challenge, which led to him meeting his now girlfriend Emily Seebohm.

Former MAFS star Ryan Gallagher was supposed to be the leading man on The Bachelorette this season, but he was dropped just three weeks before filming was scheduled to begin.

The 34-year-old comedian posted a picture of the signed contract on Instagram on Thursday and said that closing the deal was the best thing that could have happened.

Not getting my bachelor’s degree this year turned out to be the best thing I’ve ever done. “I wouldn’t have done the challenge, and I wouldn’t have met Emily,” Ryan said.

I didn’t quit either. They cut me off three weeks before filming. I am happy.’

Ryan said he “couldn’t have had a very good BA” because he had practical life skills

He continued, “I wasn’t going to be a very good Bachelor this year anyway.

“I didn’t meet the criteria because I know how to change a tire, start a lawn mower and don’t have a Facetune.”

Ryan starred in the 2018 season of MAFS, but his “marriage” to Davina Rankin fell apart when she had an affair with Dean Wells.

Tradie also launched a stand-up comedy career.

While the Challenge’s ratings may be bleak, the experience turned out to be a positive for Ryan when he met his partner, Emily.

He struck up a romance with the swimmer while filming the competitive series in Argentina, and they appeared in public after the show ended on television.
