Each season, Blockheads are given lessons on best practices on a construction site, including wearing a hard hat and high-visibility vest at all times.

However, the show’s “hypocritical” hosts were seen not wearing any protective gear as they inspected each contestant’s home.

The most recent episode began with each team and construction crew receiving a speech during the early morning hours from Safety Officer Deano.

“Let’s all keep our visibility high. You’re on location, you need to keep your visibility high,” he told the cast and crew as they gathered around.

But moments later, fans were left furious when hosts Scott and Shelley began inspecting the construction site without wearing reflective clothing or hard hats.

Viewers flocked to social media to slam the TV stars for the “reckless” and “hypocritical” act.

Both have been involved in the program for almost 15 years.

“I like the morning safety message. Wear hi-vis gear. Next up are Scott and Shelley, no vests. It’s not like it’s their first time,” one person wrote.

Another commented: “No helmets either,” while someone else pointed out: “Shelley usually wears pink reflective clothing too!”

“That’s a bit hypocritical,” added a fourth, while another joked: “They are special.”

Earlier this week, fans also slammed House 1 contestant Paige after she made a rude speech during Tuesday night’s episode.

Blockhead has hit out at architect Julian Brenchley, telling him she “didn’t give a shit about his opinion” after an argument over the location of her and partner Jesse’s master bedroom.

It wasn’t long before fans of the show took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to slam Paige for her on-air antics and denounce her “childish behavior.”

“Little Princess Paige has never had anyone tell her no. It’s time to grow up and function in a grown-up world,” they wrote.

Another disgruntled viewer said: “Paige is a petulant little girl. She really thinks people are rude (when they’re not), she walks all over everything and now she’s slammed two sponsors. She’s not smart.”

The current series of The Block was filmed earlier this year in the popular Victorian resort of Phillip Island.

Daily Mail Australia has revealed that a company owned by Channel Nine has purchased Island Cove Villas on the Victorian island for a whopping $9.5 million.

Located two and a half hours from Melbourne, the site currently features nine homes, a communal pool, barbecue pavilion, tennis court and children’s playground.
