The Block experts have revealed that a big Sydney star almost walked away with the keys to House Two from the 2023 season after making a very expensive offer for it.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that PR expert Roxy Jacenko is said to have been in talks with executive producer and co-creator Julian Cress.

The socialite, 44, had her eyes on the renovation undertaken by Queensland couple Leah and Ash Milton after their home was auctioned off.

“Those phone calls started months after the show ended, and not even the 2023 contestants knew those conversations were happening,” a source claimed.

Although Roxy did not confirm why she wanted to buy the property, some speculated she had plans to follow in the footsteps of Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli.

Adrian, 34, who is now one of Australia’s youngest billionaires, shot to fame on The Block in 2022 when he became involved in a bidding war with The Block veteran Danny Wallis.

The LMCT+ founder has since purchased three homes from the 2023 season and used them as prizes in raffles for tickets sold through his business.

At the time Roxy considered purchasing House Two, she was launching her online marketing course Roxy’s Bootcamp, which debuted with the giveaway of a mansion.

“It is not confirmed whether Roxy intended to follow Adrian Portelli and auction off the property, but it seemed likely that the sale would go through there,” a source said.

“An offer is an offer and they (The Block producers) don’t ask those questions.”

Leah and Ash sold their property on Charming Street in Hampton East to a private buyer for $3,125,000, making a profit of $155,000.

While Roxy did not purchase a Block home last year, a source close to the deal revealed that the PR queen is more than welcome to try her hand at the auction again in October.

‘The celebrity participation announcements show enthusiasm and these heavyweights have been an important part of the development of the last few seasons,’ they said.

‘This year’s location is very attractive to all buyers looking for a holiday getaway and these properties will not only appeal to Melburnians.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Nine and Roxy for comment.
