The pop star who sold the most concert tickets across Australia in 2024 has been revealed.
Many Australian music fans will be surprised to learn that it’s not Taylor Swift, who brought her Eras tour earlier this year.
In fact, the lion’s share of concert sales went to Pink, who brought her Summer Carnival world tour to Australian shores in February.
Pink, whose real name is Alecia Moore, sold out the actress’ 20 stadiums across the country, racking up more than one million ticket sales and taking the box office win.
The singer is known for having a dedicated Australian fan base and a long, mutual love affair with the country.
Tour promoter Live Nation said Pink’s dates were “the most played by any artist in Australia on a single tour”.

Pink was reportedly furious with the amount of press given to Swift when both pop stars were touring Australia earlier this year.
The Australian singer Sam Fischer stated during an interview in Ricki-Lee, Tim and Joel from Nova Earlier this year, Pink was “pissed off” at the lack of media coverage she received while she was in the country.
“Did you think that now everyone’s money is piling up in very, very few piles?” said host Tim Blackwell.

Tim then admitted that he “felt sorry” that Pink was in Australia at the same time as Taylor.

Pink arrived in Australia in February and performed at Sydney’s Accor Stadium before heading to Brisbane and Townsville.
“It’s kind of funny that everyone is talking about Beyoncé and Taylor doing stadium shows, but Pink is also here selling them all out.”
“I have a friend who is the background singer for Pink and my friend Danny said she’s really angry because no one is talking about the fact that she’s selling out stadiums too.”
Pink arrived in Australia in February and performed at Sydney’s Accor Stadium before heading to Brisbane and Townsville.
After the great success of her tour, the American singer thanked her fans for 20 years of support.
She told how her 2024 tour broke several Australian records, including ticket sales, which became the biggest tour by any female artist in the country.
Meanwhile, more than 600,000 Swifties attended the Australian leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour in February.
A record 96,000 fans attended each of their three nights in Melbourne and another 83,000 Swifties flocked to each of their four Sydney shows.
It comes after fans shared their anger after learning dozens of tickets were given away to the pop star’s concerts in Sydney.
Tickets, many of them for prime seats, were handed out at Accor Stadium minutes before, and even during the show, to hopeful fans waiting outside.
Some were given away by Taylor Nation, a fan group known for giving away concert tickets to missed Swifties.
Others are believed to have been given away by staff and even members of the pop star’s entourage.
