Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill seems to have again avoided child abuse
Six weeks after reopening child abuse in Kansas City Chief & wide receiver Tyreek Hill, the local district attorney now says there is no active investigation into the NFL star and the mother of his three year old son.
In an email to The Kansas City Star, Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe stated: "It is not an active investigation."
Howe did not explain why the investigation was terminated or when that decision was made, but he added: & # 39; if we receive additional evidence that we are re-evaluating & # 39 ;.
Hill & # 39; s lawyer Trey Pettlon told the star that he believes the criminal investigation has been closed for some time.
Pettlon did not immediately respond to the Daily Mail's request for comment.
Howe previously announced on April 26 the investigation into Hill would be reopened after CBS connected KCTV air end recorded sound of a man identified as Hill threatening his fiance, who is the mother of his son, when she accused him of hurting the boy .
Hill, 25, refused to harm his son.
Tyreek Hill and Crystal Espinal (left) have a three-year-old son, who is reportedly temporarily taken out of custody after two incidents at their home, involving a young person.
He was first investigated for an alleged battery incident of March 14 involving a minor, according to several published reports. The star reported that Hill & # 39; s son had a broken arm in the incident.
Police from Overland Park, Kansas, responded to the same address on March 5 to investigate a report on child abuse or neglect. Hill & # 39; s name is stated in the report.
In April, several outlets reported that the boy had been taken from Hill and the boy's mother, Espinal.
On April 24, Howe said that charges would not be filed, but that he & # 39; deeply troubled & # 39; was through the situation and said & # 39; we believe a crime has occurred & # 39 ;.
Howe also said the case could be reopened as new information popped up.
Hill allegedly stifled Choking and punching Espinal (right) when she was pregnant in December 2014. Hill was arrested and fired from the Oklahoma State football team. He later pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery strangulation and got three years probation

Two days later CBS partner KCTV broadcast the aforementioned audio, in which Hill threatens Espinal when she accuses him of injuring their son.
& # 39; He is terrified of you, & # 39; You can hear Espinal say in audio that was allegedly recorded at an airport in Dubai.

Crystal Espinal: & # 39; He is terrified of you. And you say he respects you, but it's not respect. & # 39;
Tyreek Hill: & # 39; He respects me. & # 39;
Espinal: & # 39; He is terrified of you. & # 39;
Hill: & # 39; You must be terrified of me too, b *** h. That's why you can't keep a fucking man. & # 39;
Espinal: & # 39; He started crying and thought: & # 39; Shut up, shut up, stop crying, stop crying. & # 39; & # 39;
Hill: & # 39; Right. & # 39;
Espinal: & # 39; And then he kept crying because he was scared. He's scared to death. Did you grab hold of him or did he fall? One of the two. & # 39;
Hill: & # 39; I have done nothing. & # 39;
Espinal: & # 39; Then why does he say: & # 39; Daddy did it. & # 39 ;? Why? & # 39;
Hill: & # 39; He says Daddy does many things. & # 39;
Espinal: & # 39; A three-year-old child will not lie about what happened to his arm. & # 39;
& # 39; You must also be terrified of me, & # 39; the man on the tape replied, who is said to be Hill. That's why you can't keep a fucking man. & # 39;
Howe immediately opened the investigation and Hill was suspended indefinitely by the Kansas City Chiefs.
On May 2, The Associated Press published parts of a letter from Pettlon to the NFL, in which Hill's lawyer claims to have text messages in which Espinal admits that he has injured the couple's three-year-old son.
In one exchange, according to the letter from Pettlon, Hill tells Espinal after their trip to Dubai: & Crystal, you know I didn't cause any bruising or damage to our son, but for some reason I can still be charged. & # 39;
Espinal reportedly said: & I know you didn't do that. I did. I hurt (our son). I'm the one who did it. I was hurt and mad at you, so I blamed you for everything. & # 39;
It is not known that Espinal and Hill are still engaged, nor is it known where their son is currently staying.
Although there is currently no criminal investigation into the case, Hill and Espinal are still involved in a case with the Kansas Department for Children and Families, preventing ongoing cases from being dealt with.
Hill is also subject to an NFL investigation and he can be punished without being convicted or even accused of a crime.
& # 39; There is still a lawsuit involving CPS, Child Protection Services, and we will not interfere, & # 39 ;, said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in May. & # 39; The priority is with this young child and that is why we will of course cooperate with what the court wants. We are willing to continue and hold an interview when we have permission. & # 39;
The Chiefs are in the midst of off-season training sessions, and Hill is barred from attending
In his four-page letter to the NFL, Pettlon insists that his client is committed to his son.
& # 39; He is determined to improve his life and become the best parent he can be & # 39 ;, Pettlon wrote in the letter. & # 39; … He is even very optimistic about this difficult process and embraces its advice and educational aspect. & # 39;
Although Hill may have avoided criminal charges, the NFL can still punish him
Hill has had problems before.
He was summoned by the Chiefs, despite a domestic violence case in which he attacked Espinal while the two visited the state of Oklahoma. In 2015, he pleaded guilty to domestic aggression and battery strangulation in connection with the incident that took place while Espinal was pregnant.
Hill was kicked off the team in Oklahoma State and ended up in West Alabama. When they drafted Hill in 2016, the Chiefs explained that he was following counseling.
That background, combined with the audio unveiled hours before the start of last week's NFL draw, raised a great indignation that Hill had to be released by the Chiefs. Some have even said that Hill, an All-Pro Wide receiver, should never play in the NFL again.
