A 15-year-old boy was in a serious condition after being reportedly attacked by a gang of up to 15 youths.
The teenager was jogging on the grounds of an elementary school on Greaves Street, Werribee, 20 miles southwest of Melbourne, at 4:15 PM on Monday when he was reportedly attacked.
Several members of the gang, described as African in appearance, are said to have attacked the jogger.
The teen’s cell phone and shoes were reportedly stolen during the alleged attack, but have since been returned.

He was rushed to hospital after the alleged viscous attack, but has since been released.
Victoria Police said they identified the suspected people involved.
“Investigators from Taskforce Wayward have now identified the parties involved in the reported Werribee attack on Monday and are now investigating whether they were known to each other,” said a statement.
“Items taken from the victim during the incident have since been returned and the 15-year-old boy has been released from the hospital.”
