Welcome to Teamsheet… Mail Sport’s exclusive new football memory game that tests your football knowledge and will excite and infuriate you in equal measure.

Every day we’ll challenge you to name a different starting XI from the Premier League era. We’ll give you an approximate line-up of a team and the number of letters in each player’s name. You’ll then have to try and guess the name of the entire team.

Each attempt costs you one point and the aim of the game is to score as few points as possible. Share your score with your friends and family. Done, you can choose a team and we will generate a second team sheet for you.

You can play two matches a day and choose ANY club that has played in the Premier League since 2006. Premier League matches from 1992 to 2006 will be available in the coming weeks.

You can even narrow down your choice by decade. So whether you want an Arsenal top flight match from the Arteta era or a Liverpool game from the 2010s, let’s see what the Teamsheet generator has to offer.

HOW TO PLAY

The objective of the game is to score as many points as possible. few points as possible!

If you guess a player on the first try, you get one point, so the lowest score for guessing each The player on the first attempt is 11.

Guess a correct letter in the correct position and it will turn green. Guess a correct letter but in the wrong position and it will turn yellow.

You have six attempts for each player. If you can’t remember a player, you can ask for a free letter, but it will cost you one point and one attempt. And if you use all six attempts, we’ll tell you their name, but it will cost you 11 points.
