With a string of highly publicised relationships to her name and previous accusations of ‘showmanship’, it’s perhaps no surprise that Taylor Swift has laughed off her latest media storm – and is even planning to commemorate it.
The pop superstar was said to have split from her NFL love interest Travis Kelce, both 34, on September 28, according to a leaked contract purportedly drafted on the letterhead of her US PR firm, Full Scope, which circulated online.
Kelce’s representatives were forced to deny that the couple had any plans to split, and the Kansas City Chiefs star brought in his lawyers on Tuesday night.
But despite the claims, the singer and the sportsman are standing firm as a rock, according to sources close to the pair, who told DailyMail.com that they plan to mark their supposed “separation” by planning something “super special” as a result of the fake contract.
“Taylor wasn’t bothered and had a lot of fun with it,” a source said. “She doesn’t normally pay attention to these things, but this was a very funny AI reality show. It doesn’t even deserve a real reaction from her or her team.”

Taylor and Travis, both 34, are very much on the same page, according to sources close to the couple, who told DailyMail.com that they plan to mark their supposed “split” by planning something “super special.”
‘She and Travis had a good laugh about it and their group only involved the lawyers because their PR firm is the one listed on the document.’
They continued: ‘After learning that their “breakup date” is coming up so soon on September 28, they now need to plan something super special and fun for that day to commemorate it.
‘Coincidentally, September 28th is the first NFL game of the season and is also National Beer Drinking Day, so it’s definitely a great date night.’
The viral post showed documentation that appears to have been created by Full Scope, outlining an alleged plan to release an official statement three days “after the breakup” to “allow the initial media frenzy to calm down and ensure clarity” later this month.
He added that the announcement would be “kind, respectful and would emphasize mutual respect.”
The document said: ‘Example: Travis and Taylor have decided to separate after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other’s private lives and appreciate your respect for their privacy during this time.
“They are both committed to their careers and personal growth. They remain friends and wish each other the best.”
The statement, which would be sent to major media outlets with a press release to ensure “widespread coverage,” would also focus on Kelce’s “personal growth” by framing the breakup as a “natural part of life.”

A source close to the matter said: “She and Travis had a good laugh about it and their group only got the lawyers involved because it’s their PR firm that’s listed on the document.”
On Tuesday night, a Full Scope spokesman insisted they were “completely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorized by this agency.”
They said: ‘We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the persons or entities responsible for the illegal and damaging falsification of documents.’
Kelce is represented at the Los Angeles-based firm by Pia Malihi and Jack Ketosyan, who has previously admitted to staging “showmances” — when two celebrities are tricked into publicity.
Swift was accused of indulging in a “showmance” with British actor Tom Hiddleston in 2016 following her split from Calvin Harris.
Hiddleston was ridiculed for wearing a white vest emblazoned with the phrase ‘I (heart) TS’ as he frolicked in the sea with the singer during her Fourth of July celebration with close friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
Their highly publicized whirlwind romance lasted about three months before they split in September 2016.

She then began dating Kelce last summer, and the athlete frequently gushed about his love for her as she joined his family, including his mother Donna, on multiple occasions in the stands to cheer on the Chiefs.
She was also there to watch her boyfriend win the Superbowl in February, where she was seen drinking beer on screen before joining him for a kiss on the field.
Earlier this week it was revealed that Swift was at the center of the NFL’s promotional video for the upcoming season.
Kelce also traveled the world to see his girlfriend perform in Argentina and, most recently, in London, where he joined her on stage, as part of her massive Eras Tour.
