Taylor Swift opened up about her decision to continue extending her Eras Tour ahead of the final show while taking the stage at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada, on Saturday.
A day before preparing to conclude her tour after 21 months and 149 shows, the pop star, 34, took a moment to thank her beloved fans for making this such a “wonderful experience.”
“This is the most fun, joyful, exciting, intense, powerful, wonderful tour I’ve ever done, and that’s all because of the way you’ve treated it,” he told the sold-out crowd.
The fourteener continued: ‘There’s a reason why this is the longest tour I’ve ever done. I’ve never played so many shows on a tour before, and it’s just because I never really wanted it to end, because you guys have made this a wonderful experience for all of us on stage.’
The Fortnight hitmaker praised Swifties for creating their own unique ‘traditions’, including making and exchanging friendship bracelets with each other.
“I wrote a line in a song that mentions ‘make friendship bracelets,’ and I performed at the first Eras Tour show, and you guys made friendship bracelets, you’re exchanging friendship bracelets, you’re making friends,” And “Now I feel like, friendship bracelets, you’ve made that idea synonymous with the Eras Tour,” he said. “It’s a pretty wild thing you can do, and that’s just one of the things.”

Earlier in the show, she also reflected on how much the tour has meant to her.
“This tour has taken up three years of my life, if you think about the planning and then the rehearsals and then this tour for a year and eight months,” the performer gushed. “When I look at this crowd, I keep thinking how incredibly happy, grateful and lucky we are to be able to spend our last weekend here in Vancouver.”
Earlier this week, a source said Us weekly that the artist plans to take an extended break so she can focus on relaxing and spending time with her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
“He’s told his team to give him a year,” the source revealed.
Another source said of Taylor’s plans for the coming months: “Taylor plans to stay and hibernate for a while.” They (Taylor and Travis) want to do ‘normal things’ as a couple…
‘Taylor is exhausted. He’s looking forward to relaxing and getting some rest.’
The first source added that the singer plans to enjoy a quiet Christmas with his family.
Adding that the superstar won’t start thinking about recording another album until 2025.

The source noted that he wants to tour again, but it won’t be for a while and it will probably be on a smaller scale than The Eras Tour.
The ‘Anti-Hero’ singer will have performed 149 shows across five continents by the time his tour concludes in Vancouver.
Taylor played six dates in Toronto before Thanksgiving and the singer admitted she’s getting emotional as the tour comes to a close.
In a post on Instagram, he wrote: ‘Our 6 shows in Toronto were amazing. It was great to play in Canada after so long. As always, the Toronto fans treated us like it was a local show.
