Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour shows in Melbourne over the weekend have pumped a whopping $174 million into the Victorian economy.
Thousands of fans spent a combined $86 million across the accommodation, hospitality and tourism sector, with CBD spending up 30% compared to the previous month.
Businesses located near where the concerts were held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground were the biggest winners, with Swifties spending big on hotels, restaurants and bars, according to NAB data.
NAB business executive Julie Rynsk said Swift’s programs had done wonders for the state.
‘From sold-out hotels to bustling restaurants, the economic boost that follows is tangible. The tour has attracted fans from all over the world,” he stated.

And the singer was equally grateful to Melbourne and shared a sweet message with her Australian fans.
He posted several photos from his Australian tour on Instagram on Monday and thanked fans for the memories.

Swift also sent local fans into a frenzy by declaring: ‘Melbourne, you are the love of my life’ during her show on Sunday night.
She told the crowd: ‘Some stadium girl math for you… 96,000 people the first night, 96,000 people the second night. 96,000 people tonight.
“Those are the biggest shows I’ve ever played on tour and you did it three times,” he added.
Taylor is coming to Sydney this weekend, with the pop star performing four shows from Friday, February 23 to Monday, February 26, with Swift Fever expected to do similar things for the New South Wales economy.
