Johanna Griggs has called out the misogynistic behavior she allegedly experienced during the early days of her career at Channel Seven.
The Better Homes and Garden host, 50, spoke on the Empowering Leaders podcast Wednesday to detail a confrontation she had with a boss many years ago.
She said the executive, who no longer works at the network, asked Joh to put on a bikini and slap a coworker’s butt for a promotion.
‘We had a promotion with a lot of bosses at Seven. “They wanted all their network talent to run around the beach in bikinis slapping each other’s butts,” he said.
‘Baywatch style?’ said host Luke Darcy, to which Joh replied: “Yes.”

The former competitive swimmer said she declined to make the promotion, but was found confusing by her boss, who was surprised she didn’t agree with the idea.
Joh alleged that she mentioned her previous stint as ‘modeling for Inside Sport’ and said she had worn many bikinis in her time.
“(I told them): ‘I did it when I was an athlete, 100%,'” added the mother of two children.

“I said, ‘Put it this way, I’ll do it when you have Bruce McAvaney with a couple of slugs running down the beach punching a couple of guys on the butts,'” he continued.
“And that was the end of the conversation.”

He said the executive, who stopped working at the network a long time ago, asked Joh to put on a bikini and slap a coworker’s butt for a promotion.
Joh has a long career with the network since joining Seven Sport in 1993 as host of the Australian Open.
Producers poached her from the pool after she struggled to keep her swimming career on track following a chronic fatigue syndrome diagnosis.
The veteran presenter and former athlete now also hosts the network’s Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games, as well as the Melbourne Cup.
Joh also presented the renovation show House Rules from 2013 to 2019, and began presenting Better Homes and Gardens in 2005.
