A young Australian model who walked for Marc Jacobs and worked in Paris, New York, London and Milan has tragically died after a battle with cancer.

She also appeared in campaigns for Vogue and Vanity Fair.

Scale’s family said she never complained about her cancer diagnosis and that her dying wish was for people to donate blood.

“She was determined and strong and had such grace as she faced the most difficult year of her life with such acceptance, optimism and vulnerability,” they said, The Herald Sun reported.

“Sian was very generous, loving, kind, funny, adventurous and modest.”

Her family said she was an advocate for social justice and gender issues and acted as a mentor figure for other young women entering the fashion industry.

Mrs. Scale’s final message was: “If anyone wants to do anything in memory of me, it is to donate blood; it is the gift of life.”

Chadwick Models shared a heartfelt tribute to the 28-year-old on Wednesday.

“It is with deep sadness and great regret that we mourn the passing of our beautiful model Sian Scale,” the agency wrote.

‘She was loved very much by our Chadwick team, her models, her international agents and her clients.

‘Sian was a bright and unique light in our world who marched unapologetically to her own beat.

“We will all miss her more than words can express, and her incredible work in images will forever immortalize her.”

Scale is remembered by her parents and two brothers.
