US broadcaster Cooper Lawrence came under fire on Wednesday morning when he suggested Justin Timberlake needed his wife Jessica Biel to help him stop drinking.
The American radio personality appeared on Sunrise to reveal details of the hitmaker’s arrest this week, in which he was charged with DWI.
But some viewers took issue with Cooper suggesting the actor, 43, simply “needs a little Jessica Biel in his life,” referencing Justin’s wife, who was supposedly forced to “take care of him” and keep him out. of trouble during his drunken nights in the past.
“He has admitted to drinking and doing one or two drugs from time to time,” Cooper told Sunrise hosts Monique Wright and Matt ‘Shirvo’ Shirvington.
‘He said it was Jessica Biel who really made him incredibly sober and healthy. So maybe he needs a little more Jessica Biel in her life.”

After a brief arraignment where he was banned from driving for a year in New York State, he was released without bail. The singer left the court wearing a baseball cap.

The father of two was also said to be feeling unstable and performed “poorly” on a field sobriety test, which he ultimately failed. After being arrested and taken to a local police station, he also refused to submit to a breathalyzer test.
Justin was arraigned on a DWI charge, as well as running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane. His next court appearance will be July 26, after being released without bail.
For refusing the breathalyzer test, Justin had his driving privileges suspended in New York State.
