The sunbed war has broken out again when a tourist criticized guests for reserving all the poolside spaces before 7am at a Greek hotel.

The tourist was in sunny Zante when he noticed the infuriating behavior on his way to breakfast.

On Reddit, the furious tourist claimed that at 7am “everything was taken.”

Images uploaded alongside the horror story showed all reserved sunbeds with blue towels, while some hotel guests had attempted to claim up to three sunbeds at a time.

And not only were the most sought-after loungers next to the pool caught, but those in the surrounding area, located further away, also seemed to have been stolen.

Hundreds of Reddit users flocked to the comments section of the online posters, and many seemed to side with the travelers.

One person suggested: ‘Just leave the towel somewhere else, sit down and claim there wasn’t a towel when you got there.’

Another joked: “It would make some towels mysteriously disappear.”

A third furious viewer wrote: ‘Of course not. Throw them all on the ground. If it is not taken’.

Yet another tourist shared his own story and solution.

He said: “I had already paid the lifeguard and as soon as my wife and I saw them they would come up to us, ask us where we wanted to lie down and just take the towels off.”

The sunbed war has already started this year, after British tourists criticized two men for hoarding five sunbeds between them at a Benidorm resort last month.

Paul Hitchcock, who usually spends his holidays in Benidorm, shared a photo of two sun worshipers at his hotel who had stacked several sun loungers, apparently preventing other tourists from getting a spot.

“Two people, five sun loungers, and they’re not the only ones,” he told his fellow tourists, who criticized what they called the men’s “selfish” sunbathing etiquette.

British tourists who also enjoyed the bank holiday in Benidorm last month were seen in footage running towards sun loungers.

A video from the popular Meliá hotel showed dozens of Britons with towels gathered around 8.15am, anxiously waiting for the pool to open.

Brits heading to Mediterranean resorts this summer are once again anticipating the pools to be packed; Last year there were reports of people queuing for hours before the pools opened in a bid to get a sun lounger.

A British mother who holidayed in Benidorm last year said she was left close to tears after her family were forced to sit under a water slide after missing the crazy race.

Cayleigh Tuffs, 34, who was on holiday with her husband Andrew and their eight-year-old daughter, described the rush to get beds as “horrendous” and vowed never to return to the Spanish tourist destination.

Other hotels in southern Spain have been forced to crack down on unruly behavior as tourists fight for the best sunbathing spots.

A hotel on the Costa del Sol revealed they were forced to introduce a parking ticket system, where towels left on unattended beds were removed after a time limit.

The Estival Torrequebrada on Benalmádena beach introduced a parking ticket system where towels left on unattended beds are removed after a time limit.

Instead, management began leaving cards on sun loungers with towels, bags and other personal items, warning that they would be removed after 45 minutes if they remained unoccupied.
