Cheryl and Reed Sanders ambushed Molly and Lindsay Duncan on a Wednesday outside their million-dollar house in Yellow Springs, Ohio, after traveling from their own home in Leicester, North Carolina.

According to a press conference held by the Duncan couple and their lawyer on Friday, they returned home when a man in a camouflage mask and hoodie ran upstairs and held a gun to Molly’s head while checking the mail.

“I thought it was a bad nightmare,” Lindsey Duncan said Daily news.

“What happened next was instinct.”

When Lindsay pulled out a gun when he was attacked by the man, now identified as Reed Sanders, Cheryl Sanders also appeared and started a shooting.

Lindsay Duncan shot the pair fatally in the exchange.

He has not been accused of a crime because the police believe that the guarded footage of the incident proves that he was acting in self-defense and that Sanders had threatened him and his wife.

“The word ambush is exactly what it was,” said Molly Duncan.

“We were taken by surprise. They said nothing and they started shooting at us. ”

Lindsay was the person who called 911 after the attack, in which he was told: “I shot them, they came to our window and had a gun aimed at my wife’s head.”

Greene County officials initially refused to call Duncan because he was not a suspect in the case, but the couple held their own press conference with their lawyer on Friday to reveal their version of the events.

“The only thing I remember was a 6-foot-slightly 6-foot-5 man, probably 230 pounds with a camouflage mask, a full camouflage mask and a hoodie on, ran to my wife’s driver’s side with a gun and held it roughly 10 centimeters from her head, “Lindsey said.

“I will tell you that she (Molly) was in the middle of two separate firefights, with bullets flying past her head, four inches, five inches, six inches next to her, not once but two times. And because she lives today, I will never be able to explain that. And it wasn’t just one shot or two shots, it looked like a hundred shots and there were shells everywhere. And that’s all I can say, and I’ve probably said too much, but that’s enough. ”

Supervision images of the attack seem to confirm that Duncan told about the incident.

Reed Sanders was also found with various fake forms of identity alongside him, alongside fake car labels.

Officials said Reed Sanders had a previous criminal record, but refused to release details.

“[Cheryl] threatened to kill the man’s wife and he shot at that person, “Sheriff Gene Fischer explained.

“About five years ago the resident informed us that he had received information that the ex-wife was trying to hire someone to kill him,” he went on and told about an earlier incident in which Duncan feared his ex-wife.

The police are still investigating the cause of the fact that the couple appeared armed in Duncan’s house, but it is believed that this is due to constant fighting over money.

According to Citizen Times, the dispute disputed the trust fund set up for the two adult children of Cheryl Sanders and Lindsay Duncan, who had to pay for the girls’ study costs.

“He has given them nothing but hell since she married him,” said a friend of Reed Sanders about Lindsey Duncan, adding that the ex-husband was “dominant” to Cheryl Sanders.

“He didn’t like that she was remarried and happy,” he added.

“Part of the problem is that he had to sign where they went to school, and they didn’t go to the schools he wanted, so he refused to sign off to give them the money.”

The friend also confirmed that Sanders had a gun.

“They wore them all the time,” he said.

“She was wearing one in her bag and he was wearing one in a small saddle in the back of his pants. They both wore weapons because they were afraid of Lindsey … ”

In court, documents come from Dayton Daily News, Cheryl Sanders and Lindsay Duncan signed a “marital agreement in 1999, were married and divorced in 2009.”

“Since the divorce, the data suggests that their relationship has remained sour,” the newspaper reported.

“It’s a very complex set of facts,” said Suzanne Schmidt, Greene County’s first assistant prosecutor, about the shooting.

“What we are planning to do in a case like this is … once the investigation is complete, the case will be referred to a major Greene County jury for an assessment to see if any costs are justified. That is typical of what we do, but it will be a long process. ”

Cheryl Sanders, 59, started working as a body double for Jessica Alba, left, and Brooke Shields, right, when she stopped working as a stuntwoman due to a bad fall on the set in 1989

Sanders previously worked as a Hollywood stunt double in the 1980s and appeared in the movie “Back to the Future” and was responsible for Rene Russo in The Thomas Crown Affair and the Lethal Weapon series.

Her stunts related to a 20-foot fall on the set “Back to the Future,” which halted her career in 1989. She shattered bones in her face, right arm and hand when a cable was released in the fall and she smashed the concrete.

She also did double work for Jessica Alba in 2016 and some work for Brooke Shields.
