- Monaco’s Hojlund reportedly fulfills Erik ten Hag’s wish for a striker to join their ranks
Manchester United have reportedly been told striker Rasmus Hojlund and defender Axel Disasi are keen to sign for the club this summer.
Erik ten Hag is reshaping his squad after finishing third in the Premier League, with the Red Devils now having Champions League football in the Dutchman’s second season at Old Trafford.
Although strong rumors have swirled among players including Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Napoli’s Kim-min jae, Man United have received some good news regarding two intended targets.
Monaco’s Disasi and Atalanta’s Hojlund have both reportedly expressed interest in joining the ten Hag squad this summer, according to a Mirror article.
Hojlund, hailed as a Danish Erling Haaland for his work up front, is on a shortlist of potential forwards for Man United, who have just two senior forwards on their books.

Monaco defender Axel Disasi has also said he wants to swap France for the Premier League

Erik ten Hag’s squad undergo an overhaul ahead of Champions League football next season
After just a year with Serie A club Atalanta, it’s believed a £43million offer would be enough for Man United to secure a deal, with the player previously admitting he’s a “big fan” of the club.
Hojlund also brokered a deal with agency SEG, which also represents ten Hags.
Monaco’s Disasi has also made Man United aware of his desire to swap France for North West England. He appeared in the World Cup final, as they lost in the showpiece to Argentina.
However, Man United’s budget for a defender may be low, with a striker seen as a high priority, as well as the expected cost of bringing Mount to Old Trafford.
The club are also expected to move forward with a plan to bring Kim-min jae to Manchester when the clause of his contract with Napoli opens next month.
