Stevie Nicks struck a chord during her London concert on Friday night.

The rocker, who was joined onstage by Harry Styles during a tribute to her late Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie, honoured another collaborator, Tom Petty.

Styles joined the rock icon for a performance of the 1981 Nicks-Petty hit Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around, according to The Independent.

Images of Petty were beamed onto a screen on stage as the duo thrilled the audience, who sang along.

Nicks, 76, had performed the song at BST Hyde Park in 2017 with the rocker, just months before his death aged 66.

“This is a special day for many reasons,” the singer told the audience. “Coming back here is because I feel your presence. I know you are at this event and you are happy that I am here.”

The apparition included other special meanings.

Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around was a song they both performed during Nicks’ tour. 2019 Hall of Fame Induction.

And it was Styles’ first onstage performance since wrapping up his Love On Tour last July.

The Grammy winner has called Styles her “adopted” son in the past.

“He’s the love child of Mick and I,” the Edge of Seventeen singer said. Rolling Stone.

“When Harry came into our lives I said, ‘Oh my God, this is the son I never had.’ So I adopted him.”

Nicks told the audience that acting is one of the ways she deals with grief.

The pair sang Nicks and Petty’s 1981 hit “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” Nicks and Petty had performed the song at the venue a few months before her death in 2017.

Nicks will continue touring the UK and Europe until July 24.

He will resume his tour in the United States in September.
