“I could hear him (the alleged attacker) screaming, but I could hear her (the passenger in the car) screaming more,” Mace said. The Sydney Morning Herald.

‘I ran to the other side (of the car) and he was stabbing her mercilessly… I was trying to get her out while he was trying to stab me.

“I said, ‘Enough, enough, leave her!’ He said, ‘No, fuck her. She changed my radio station.'”

‘Another guy came to try to grab her by the legs, but then the guy (the alleged attacker) slashed her chest.

‘He (the alleged attacker) went to look for Cooper and then I had to run away. Fortunately he remained angry and came back to me.

“He said, ‘We’re dying together, we’re dying together’… Eventually the police managed to shoot him with the Taser.

‘He ripped it off and ran down the street.

‘I only suffered a cut on my hand, but the other guy (who helped the woman) suffered a considerable cut on his chest.’

An independent witness told Daily Mail Australia that the alleged attacker, 55, was entering the Princes Highway in a white sedan when he was hit by a blue car.

He said a passerby ran to the white car to help and discovered the 40-year-old female passenger had been stabbed.

The driver of the white vehicle then allegedly stabbed the good Samaritan.

“He (the alleged attacker) was ranting and then the police went to arrest him and they were yelling ‘get out on the street’ and he was trying to self-harm and was cutting his wrists and throat,” the witness said.

‘They then chased him to my house and tried to revive him.

“He looked really bad. He was losing a lot of blood.”

Witnesses reported seeing the white car traveling at high speed in the area before the accident.

The alleged attacker, aged 55, was treated by paramedics on the scene and has been detained ever since.

Another witness told Daily Mail Australia he initially believed the stabbing and car crash were two separate incidents because they occurred in two locations about 200 metres apart.

He said he saw a blue and white car involved in a crash on the Princes Highway before another man was arrested near a black Hyundai further up the road.

“The accident happened at the traffic light and there was a man there ranting and raving for about 20 minutes,” he said.
