Steph Claire Smith reveals she had to ‘strip down’ to her underwear just to ‘sneak out’ of her son Harvey’s room without waking him: ‘I’m stressed’

Steph Claire Smith struggled to put her two-year-old son Harvey to bed on Wednesday night and was forced to take off her clothes so as not to wake him.

The fitness influencer, 28, who shares her only child with husband Josh Miller, was found sitting in her kitchen in just her underwear after the debacle.

Feeling “tired” and “anxious,” the Keep It Cleaner co-founder shared a selfie of herself on her Instagram Stories looking incredibly exhausted as she revealed Harvey’s latest sleep issues.

“I’m currently sitting on the floor waiting for my microwave dinner in my underwear because I had to get naked so I wouldn’t make too much noise sneaking out of Harvey’s room tonight,” she wrote in her lengthy message.

“He hasn’t been sleeping well, so every day it’s like a snowball effect; we can’t seem to catch up with him.”

She continued: “He had a nap today because last night he only slept between 8pm and 4:45am, but tonight he forcefully refused to go to bed.”

Steph went on to say that she was “so tired” that she needed to leave Harvey’s room several times to “scream” her frustration.

“In the end, I sang to him until he fell asleep, and after two hours and a few failed attempts to sneak out, I finally came out,” he added.

The mother-of-one said she didn’t think Harvey would be able to sleep through the night and was planning to go straight to bed after dinner.

She wrote: “He makes me happier than anything else, but also more stressed, anxious and tired than anything else.” The parallels in parenting are really crazy.’

Steph has been very vocal about the difficulties she has faced raising Harvey, as she recently revealed that he turned their family holiday into a nightmare.

She shared an emotional video on Instagram in January while on holiday in Victoria and asked other parents if their young children were also having a tough time.

‘Is your toddler currently in a phase where he likes one parent more than the other? Or are they being nice to one parent and then mean to the other? Because right now Josh is totally over it,” Steph said, her voice shaking with emotion.

“Harvey doesn’t want a bar of his and it’s pretty horrible to see, and this vacation has been exhausting,” she lamented.

In another video, Steph admitted that she was “heartbroken” by Harvey’s behavior because she was “so excited to have some beautiful family time” during their vacation.
