Return: Star Trek: Picard sees the return of an ominous character in Season Two
Paramount + announced the news Monday during a virtual session on First Contact Day.
Lancie was also there to surprise fans and make the announcement herself.
A brand new season two teaser features Picard’s voiceover saying, ‘Time offers so many opportunities, but never second chances …’
He says this as the camera spans his French castle before stopping at a Queen of Hearts playing card on a table.
The card then catches fire and smolder until only the ‘Q’ is left.
‘The process never ends’, then sounds in Q’s voice
Q first appeared in Star Trek: Next Generation and has since appeared in Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Lower Decks.
He has the power to change reality.
This follows the news that Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Jeri Ryan, Orla Brady and Brent Spiner will all be featured in season two of Picard.
The new episodes have already started filming and they are set to stream on Paramount +.
