A squirrel proved he loved chocolate when he was caught on camera stealing Snickers bars.

The Christmas treats left on the front porch for delivery guys were gone, and a mother and daughter were determined to catch the thief.

Here’s the hilarious moment when a squirrel is caught stealing Snickers bars left in front of a house as Christmas treats for delivery guys in Libertyville, Illinois

At the beginning of the video, the mother says, “Oh my, someone took a ton of Snickers. Oh my God, yes, I’ve put down about seven.’

The couple inspect the porch, but realize that no deliveries have been made during the day.

Ironically, the mother makes a statement hoping the culprit isn’t a squirrel, while her daughter replies, “A squirrel?”

The video then cuts to footage of the squirrel emerging from a bush before climbing into the basket full of treats.

The squirrel, trying to “get some nuts,” grabs a Snickers bar and makes a quick run.

The daughter who posted the video said, “We’ll be leaving a treat for the delivery guys over the holidays.

“My mom and I went out to do some shopping and she noticed a lot of the giggles had disappeared even though nothing had been delivered.

“She suspected they were squirrels and my dad and I kept laughing at her because we thought it was one of the kids or a neighbor.

“We went back in and checked the Ring and it was the squirrels!”

Squirrels have a varied diet, including nuts, fruits and fungi, but it seems this squirrel has developed a sweet tooth.
