Southwind High School in Memphis is on lockdown after threats that someone was planning to “shoot up” the building

Several schools in Memphis have been closed after receiving threats on social media, officials said.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said someone contacted Southwind High School threatening a shooting.

The Memphis Police Department reported that Fox 13 Many of the threats come from abroad and from chatbots.

Social media users have been sharing images of what they claim are threats made by a student.

Craigmont High School is among the schools closed.
