A new report from a reliable source mentioned that the upcoming Star Wars open game from French publisher Ubisoft, codenamed Project Helix, may be released in early 2024.
The report says that the French company’s Star Wars game is currently scheduled to be launched in the fiscal year (April 2023 – March 2024), which is another big game that the company mentioned in its latest earnings call. According to the report Which was shared by Kotaku through one of its sources, in which he stated that the target for the current fiscal year is probably too ambitious, and the title is likely to be released early next year.
If this source has accurate information, we think we might hear more about the game at Ubisoft’s next event this year. Or maybe at the Summer Game Fest 2023 event, where the company will be there as an official partner to announce all its new things.
On the other hand, Insider Gaming contacted the source of the report, and was already able to verify that Ubisoft’s Star Wars title actually bears the name Project Helix, but was unable to verify the expected release date of the game.
We will wait for the coming days and see what the French publisher has in store, and recently we have witnessed many leaks that came in the form of images and some details of the company’s upcoming games such as Skull & Bones and Assassin’s Creed Mirage, in addition to the launch date, which indicated that we may see the last game in this coming October general.
Do you think that Ubisoft could succeed in a Star Wars game with the large number of other competing titles from the same title, but from other studios?
