About seven weeks after major knee surgery, Sofia Vergara headed out on a lunch date with a friend in West Hollywood.
The actress and television personality, 51, showed that she has made great strides in her recovery after surgery on her right knee.
With her health in mind, the Modern Family alum decided to wear a pair of thick-soled white sneakers to go with her casual ensemble consisting of loose-fitting denim cargo pants and a red blouse with a long tie.
For the outing, she had her light brown locks long, straight and loose over her shoulders and down to the middle of her back with a center part.
She accessorized with dark sunglasses and a black bag over her left shoulder.
Sofia Vergara, 51, showed that she has made progress in her recovery from ‘major knee surgery’ about seven weeks ago when she went out to lunch with a friend.
Located on the corner of Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard, Vergara seemed to be in good spirits when she met her friend at Cecconi’s restaurant.
The establishment is known for its modern classic Italian dishes, such as handmade pasta and seafood.
Standing outside the restaurant, her friend looked stylish in off-white pants and a matching black-striped turtleneck top, brown flats, and her shoulder-length blonde locks with a center part down her back.
Vergara also took to her Instagram page, where she shared a couple of photos from their lunch date that showed there was a third party at their table.
Turns out she brought her family’s newest four-legged member, her new chihuahua Amore, to eat with her in a carrier bag.
The first image showed the two women posing for the camera in a selfie that showed Amore among the women while sitting in the carry bag, which was now open.
A second photo captured the dog sitting on the table with two large strawberry desserts on the table just inches away.
‘Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone!!’ he wrote in the caption of the puppy’s post.
The actress and television personality wore chunky-soled sneakers along with denim cargo pants and a red blouse for her evening outing.
Her friend was carrying a dog carrier bag that turned out to be Vergara’s Chihuahua Amore.
Vergara introduced her new dog in early April on Instagram, and the couple later shared the spotlight when they posed together for their People’s Beautiful Issue cover photo.
She had a void to fill after her ex-husband Joe Manganiello gained custody of their Chihuahua Bubbles following their separation last summer and final divorce that was finalized in February.
The True Blood alum said his ex-wife was kind to allow him to stay with Bubbles after their breakup,’ a source close to the actor told Daily Mail in August 2023.
The black and white pup has already caused a sensation among fans, as well as Vergara’s son, Manolo González Vergara, who sat with the cutie in a video he shared on April 9 on his Instagram.
For a cool touch, she included a snippet of Bobby Solo’s classic song That’s Amore in the clip showing the pup on her lap.
Manolo’s chihuahua Baguette, whom the actress has helped care for over the years, has already bonded with Amore, which has been documented on social media.
Vergara and Manganiello dated for about a year and a half when they married in Palm Beach, Florida, in November 2015.
They were married for seven years before deciding to go their separate ways and divorce.
She previously thanked her ‘handsome’ doctor boyfriend, Dr. Justin Saliman, for helping her during her recovery.
The Modern Family alum also shared a couple of photos where Amore sat among the ladies.
Amore sat on the table with a couple of dessert plates just inches away.
Vergara’s son, Manolo González Vergara, 32, already joined Amore in a video he shared on April 9 on his Instagram page.
Manolo’s Chihuahua Baguette has also joined the new four-legged member of the family
‘If you ever have major (sic) knee surgery make sure you get a good looking doctor to sleep with you that night!!!!’ the America’s Got Talent judge wrote in an Instagram Story with a photo of her boyfriend standing next to her bed.
“I love you Dr. @jdsaliman,” she said, completing the post with a red heart.
The snap showed the Modern Family star’s knee wrapped in a bandage between a splint on the bed and the good doctor, who was wearing a navy scrubs, smiling at her with his hand on her leg.
It’s unclear how the Griselda star injured her knee or if the orthopedic surgeon was the one who performed the undisclosed procedure.
