A woman is in critical condition after surviving a gas explosion at a brewery.

After emergency services arrived at Six Strings Brewery in Erina, on the New South Wales Central Coast, shortly after 11.30am on Monday, they found a woman in her 20s suffering from burns and blast injuries.

A gas explosion is believed to have occurred at the Chiltern Road address, and NSW Fire and Rescue extinguished several fires at the scene.

It is believed that all the walls of the brewery were blown away by the explosion.

The woman was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition (pictured)

The injured woman was flown by Care Flight helicopter to Royal North Shore Hospital by specialist paramedics.

A police investigation into the cause of the explosion is underway.
