Simone Biles’ NFL husband Jonathan Owens looked like a proud husband as he supported her in the stands during the Olympic gymnastics team finals as she took home her fifth gold medal.
After missing out on the qualifying round, football star Jonathan, 29, was spotted in the crowd at the Bercy Arena during the final alongside Simone’s parents Nellie and Ronald.
She was wearing a white T-shirt with the word “Biles” printed on it in huge red letters.
Simone, 27, famously withdrew from the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo after suffering from something called “twisties” and stumbling on the vault, but three years later, she proudly competed alongside Team USA at the 2024 Games in Paris.
The Olympic gold medallist led the team to victory during the qualifying round over the weekend, and again in the team final on Tuesday, and a host of famous faces travelled to the French city to cheer her and the rest of her teammates on.

Also present at the event was tennis legend Serena Williams, who previously praised the gymnast to Time magazine.
In 2021, the professional gushed about Simone: “What she represents truly reflects the infinite potential of black women. I wish I could have looked up to her when I was younger and trying to make my dreams come true.”
Other celebrities who supported Simone at the final included acclaimed director Spike Lee, actress Nicole Kidman and former Black Swan actress Natalie Portman.
Also, Microsoft’s billionaire founder Bill Gates was there and looked nervous as he watched events unfold.
Simone impressed on all three events (floor, beam and vault) during the final and helped secure the team’s epic gold medal victory.
Team USA finished with an impressive winning score of 171.296.
Days earlier, she had topped the standings with the highest scores on the floor and vault, despite suffering from a calf injury.

Rapper Snoop Dogg was also there and went viral for his hilarious reaction to Simone’s performance.
He appeared to be in awe of her skills, and a picture showing him lifting his sunglasses to reveal a wide-eyed look took over the web afterwards.
Simone’s husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan, missed qualifying due to training camp but took time off from his NFL duties to attend the finale.
She took to Instagram early Tuesday morning to confirm she was on her way, sharing a snap from a plane window which she captioned: “I’m coming for you babe.”
Simone and Jonathan began dating in 2020 after he sent her a direct message on Instagram; they tied the knot in April 2023 in Houston before heading to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for a lavish celebration.
Also at the event was sports legend Serena Williams, who previously praised the gymnast to Time magazine.

Before the finals began on Tuesday, Simone took a moment to respond to nasty trolls who called her hair a “disaster” during qualifying.
Following the event, X, formerly of Twitter, was inundated with nasty posts about the way she styled her hair.
One person said the Olympic gold medallist looked “just rolled out of bed” while another tweeted her hairstyle was “unkempt” – but Simone had a fierce message for her detractors.
In a post shared on her Instagram on Tuesday morning, the sports star warned: “Don’t come here criticizing me for my hair.”
Simone explained that although she had “done” her hair before the event, she had to take a 45-minute bus ride in extreme heat and without air conditioning.
“I made it, but the bus has no air conditioning and it’s like 9,000 degrees,” the gymnast continued, as she shared a video of herself sitting on the bus and holding a portable fan in front of her face. “Oh, and it’s a 45-minute ride.”
In a second post, she added: “I’ll hold your hand when I say this. Next time you want to comment on a black girl’s hair, just don’t.”
